The Unexpected Boutique is a little piece of the web that is dedicated to jewellery created from all kinds of unusual materials. According to a traditional eye, jigsaw puzzle pieces, gaming dice, buttons, electronic components and safety pins may not be considered appropriate adornments for the human body – but we at Flare HQ have never been fond of strictly adhering to traditions of any kind…

If you’re looking for a piece of original and unusual jewellery, from the kitsch to the complicated, it’s worth a visit – rummage through the button jewellery, dice jewellery, jigsaw jewellery and intriguing mixed media pieces to find something that might turn heads, might raise eyebrows, and may occasionally make traditionalists spontaneously combust. Button Jewellery

This site has buttons galore. I mean literally. All the handmade jewellery on here – several fab different necklace styles, both hook and stud earrings, elastic bracelets and charm bracelets – are made with buttons, old and new. There are also button brooches and button purses. So, all in all, we think that just calling the site “Button Jewellery” was pretty sensible!

Our favourite thing on here has got to be the selection of button stud earrings – so tiny and cute, and some of them are even mini-collages of progressively smaller buttons!
